Cashew / RCN Trade

Cashew is not one product.
It is a supply chain.

From RCN origin to Indian processing and processed-cashew markets, Dasverra works across the commercial chain to connect supply, demand and execution.

From origin to processor. From processor to market. From one shipment to a repeatable trade flow.

Long-Term Relationships

From one shipment to a repeatable trade flow.

Our Role

Building the trade flow

Dasverra works as a trade-orchestration layer around the supply chain, not just a commodity seller.

Sourcing

Identify relevant RCN supply and producing origins.

Verification

Review supplier authenticity, specifications, availability and commercial capability.

Market Intelligence

Understand origin conditions, specifications, pricing dynamics and buyer requirements.

Trade Structuring

Bring supplier and buyer requirements together around workable commercial terms.

Logistics

Coordinate shipment requirements and relevant logistics relationships.

Repeatability

Work toward repeat shipments and longer-term trade relationships.

The objective is not simply to complete a transaction. It is to understand whether the supply chain can work repeatedly.

Why Buyers Work With Us

Why buyers work with us

A serious buyer does not simply need someone who says, "I have cashew." The buyer needs the right origin, the right RCN quality, reliable availability, commercially workable pricing, shipment feasibility, supplier verification and the possibility of repeat supply.

Understanding Cashew

The cashew value chain

Many people know cashew primarily through a retail product such as W320. Commercial cashew trade is much broader: RCN, processing, kernel recovery, grading, specification, application and destination markets.

Trade terminology and specifications can vary by market, buyer requirement and applicable standard. Final commercial specifications should be agreed before quotation or contract.
Price & Specification

Why are cashew prices so different?

A cashew kernel's price is not determined simply by "cashew." It depends on the specification the buyer is actually purchasing. A premium whole-kernel grade can command a very different value from a smaller, lower-grade or broken kernel, driven by origin, crop quality, nut count, outturn, moisture, supply availability, processing recovery, season, freight, currency and destination demand.

Price without specification is not meaningful.

RCN → Kernel Economics

A processor does not evaluate RCN simply by looking for the lowest purchase price. The commercial question is what the RCN can produce after processing and what the resulting kernels can realise in the target market.

Supply Consistency

One successful shipment can prove that a transaction is possible. Repeat shipments show whether the supply chain actually works.

Dasverra's objective is to develop repeatable trade flows rather than one-off transactions.

Developing / Pilot / Commercially Under Evaluation

A current development opportunity has emerged around Indian cashew processing demand and the need to identify more consistent RCN supply from producing origins. Dasverra is working toward identifying, developing and evaluating genuine African RCN sources for potential supply into India.

How We Operate

A network, not a vertical wall

Dasverra does not need to own the entire supply chain. We work with people who already understand their part of it.

Producers Aggregators Exporters Processors Buyers Logistics Providers Trade-Finance Partners

Our role is to connect the pieces, structure the commercial flow and work toward making that flow repeatable.

Open To Origin

We are open to origin

We are actively interested in genuine RCN supply from Africa and other producing origins. Supplier information is reviewed based on authenticity, specification, availability, commercial viability and compliance.

Market Intelligence

Market intelligence before the transaction

Knowing the market is as important as knowing the product.

Origin Availability

Understanding where supply is available and when.

Specification

Understanding exactly what the buyer is purchasing.

Price Dynamics

Understanding why pricing changes across origins, specifications and periods.

Crop Conditions

Considering seasonality and crop-related supply conditions.

Freight

Understanding logistics impact on delivered economics.

Destination Demand

Understanding what processors and markets actually require.

Processing Economics

Considering the relationship between RCN input and finished-kernel value.

Dasverra's cashew market education series.

01Trade Education

Why W320 Is Not The Only Cashew Grade

W320 is one of the most widely traded whole-kernel grades, but it is only one part of the cashew market. Commercial trade also includes larger and smaller whole-kernel grades, splits, butts, pieces and other specifications.

02Trade Education

W180 vs W320 vs W400

The number is associated with kernel count per pound under the relevant grading convention. Lower count generally indicates a larger kernel. Commercial value also depends on quality, colour, defects, origin, availability and buyer specification.

03Trade Education

What Does SW Mean?

SW generally refers to Scorched Wholes: whole kernels with a darker appearance associated with processing, further classified by size and quality specification.

04Trade Education

Why Whole Kernels Command Different Prices

Whole kernels are not all commercially equivalent. Grade, size, colour, uniformity, defects, moisture, processing quality and market demand can create significant differences in value.

05Trade Education

Why RCN Origin Matters

Origin can influence crop characteristics, quality, availability, outturn, logistics, seasonality and processing economics. A processor evaluates the economics of the RCN rather than looking only at its purchase price.

06Trade Education

What Is Outturn?

Outturn is an important commercial measure used when evaluating RCN. It relates to the expected kernel yield from the raw nuts and helps processors evaluate the economics of procurement.

07Trade Education

How Processors Evaluate RCN

Processors may consider origin, nut count, moisture, outturn, quality, crop condition, availability, expected processing recovery, logistics and expected kernel realisation.

08Trade Education

Why A Cheap RCN Price May Not Mean Cheap Processing

A lower RCN purchase price does not automatically mean better economics. Quality, recovery, logistics and the value of the resulting kernel mix can change the commercial outcome.

09Trade Education

Africa → India Cashew Economics

The commercial equation can include RCN quality, outturn, processing economics, inland logistics, port costs, ocean freight, insurance, currency, financing, duties and destination requirements.

10Trade Education

Why Supply Consistency Matters More Than One Good Shipment

One shipment can demonstrate that a transaction is possible. Consistent specification, availability and execution are what make a repeatable supply chain.

11Trade Education

How Seasonality Affects RCN

RCN availability can be influenced by harvest periods, crop conditions, local supply, farmer selling patterns, inventories and demand. Understanding the supply cycle is important when planning procurement.

12Trade Education

Why Specification Should Come Before Price

Price without specification is not meaningful. Before comparing offers, the buyer needs to understand origin, grade, quality parameters, quantity, packaging, shipment terms, delivery point and payment structure.

Can the supply chain work repeatedly?

Whether you produce RCN, process cashew, or buy finished kernels, the same question matters. Can the supply chain work repeatedly?

Dasverra works to make that possible.
